Wafa Assurance opens a life subsidiary in Egypt

Wafa AssuranceWafa Assurance has announced the creation of its subsidiary Wafa Life Insurance Egypt. On 25 August 2020, the Moroccan group was granted approval by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) to start life and health insurance activities in Egypt. The new entity holds a share capital of 150 million EGP (9.5 million USD).

Already operating in Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Tunisia and Cameroon, Wafa Assurance aims at strengthening its presence in Africa.
