2013' results of the insurance market

The insurance market of Bahrain has recorded gross premiums (including contributions) up by 8% to 676.84 million USD in 2013.

The most lucrative class in 2013 are motor and medical, which have respectively 178.24 and 106.9 million USD, 26% and 16% of the sector'total.

Fire, property and liability insurance have totalized 123.63 million USD on the same period.

Note that gross contributions of the takaful industry have amounted to 149.87 million USD (+7% compared to 2012), 22% of recorded premiums in 2013.
