AerCap claims 3.48 billion USD from its insurers for aircraft stranded in Russia

AerCap, an aircraft leasing group, is taking legal action against AIG and Lloyd's of London. The company is claiming 3.48 billion USD in compensation from its insurers for 116 aircraft and 23 spare engines seized by Russia.

It should be recalled that the Russian authorities have detained 1 140 planes belonging to foreign aircraft leasing companies, in response to the international sanctions against it.
