Africa Re has released its key performance indicators for the financial year ended 31 December 2025.
Under IFRS 4:
Gross written premiums totaled 1.34 billion USD, representing a 10.18% year-on-year increase.
The underwriting result increased by 9.58% to 96 million USD, with a combined ratio of 90.73%.
The pan-African reinsurer reported a net profit of 199 million USD for the year, up 50.6% year-on-year.
Under IFRS 17:
Gross reinsurance revenue reached 1.27 billion USD, a 6.3% growth compared to the same period in 2024.
Net result climbed by 64.5% to 218.6 million USD.
