Africa Re celebrates its 50th anniversary

To mark its 50^th anniversary, Africa Re held a series of commemorative events on 24 and 25 June 2026 under the theme: “Reinsurance Excellence: Securing the Future.”

The first day featured a symposium and three thematic sessions exploring key priorities for the reinsurance industry in Africa. The programme also included the official inauguration of Africa Re's new headquarters in Abuja, the capital of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The second day was devoted to the 48^th Annual Ordinary Meeting of the Company's General Assembly, which concluded with the adoption of all proposed resolutions.
