According to an interview published by Insurance Asia, Bernhard Kotanko, senior partner at McKinsey, suggested that insurers operating in the Asia-Pacific region should tap into the Generation Z (Gen Z) market.
The expert explained that these people, generally born between 1997 and 2012, are now young adults with financial responsibilities and stress.
To attract this market, insurance companies must develop language and solutions adapted to this age group. Involving this demographic requires a different, predominantly digital approach.
According to B.Kotanko, insurers should also identify the ever-growing needs of Gen Z, such as health problems, stress levels and anxiety. These determining factors could help the insurance market to develop and promote tailor-made coverage.
