Cap Bon floods: emergency compensation for the victims

Following the statements by Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, emergency measures will be adopted to alleviate the damage caused by the Cape Bon floods:

• an allowance of 25 million TND (9 million USD ) will be paid to municipalities affected by the damage
• an advance of 1500 TND (536 USD) will be allocated to each damaged house,
• the compensation of farmers will be done according to the texts in force,
• opening of a post office solidarity account “1818” to assist the floods' victims,
• establishing a support program for the damaged districts
