Following the international bid launched in April 2018 for the sale of a 69.15% stake in the capital of Banque Zitouna and 70% stake of Zitouna Takaful, several national and international companies have been interested in acquiring those stakes. Arab Tunisian Bank, Majda Tunisia group and Super-Mouss-Fethi Neifar consortium are leading the list.
Tunisian groups Amana and Moulin Holding, however, have been allied to two foreign companies, Alfa Lux (Luxembourg) and Rusd Investment Bank (Malaysia) to bid.
The Banque Centrale Populaire (Morocco), Coris Holding (Burkina Faso) and a consortium made up of Crédit Immobilier et Hôtelier (Morocco), Qatar International Islamic Bank (Qatar) and Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (Morocco) have also replied to this bid.
