The chairman of Macir Vie implores regulators to enact laws promoting life insurance

Hakim Soufi, chairman of the insurance company Macir Vie, advocates amendment of the legal framework governing life insurance, insisting this initiative will result in the emergence of new products.

According to H. Soufi, the recognition of electronic signature and the development of online payment should permit the network to operate around the clock. The Chairman also believes that levying a 17% VAT stands as an impediment for the sale of life products.

Finally, according to Macir Vie ‘s chief , the development of products providing life insurance services abroad is likely to contribute to the growth of local insurers’ turnover in the same way as the access to health insurance by Algerians living outside the country.
