Compulsory third party liability insurance for factories

The plants established in Thailand will soon have to underwrite a third party liability insurance policy. The new legislation provides for the enforcement of the ministerial decision in the next three months.

The regulators are required to determine, with insurers, the minimum amount of insurance coverage that will apply to 217 000 plants touched by this measure. A sharp increase in accidents has been noted for a year now in factories.
