Crop fires in Tunisia

Seldom do Tunisian farmers underwrite an insurance policy to protect their farms. Hundreds of hectares of cereals have recently burst into flames.

Despite the reoccurrence of such claims in early summer, only a few farmers write a policy to preserve their crops. On the 500 000 farmers in Tunisia, only 7.75% among them are covered.
