The GAIF encourages recourse to regional reinsurers

A seminar on "justice and insurance in Arab Countries" was held on 24 and 25 September 2017 in Algiers.
Co-organized by the Algerian union of insurance and reinsurance companies (UAR) and the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF), the meeting brought together several professionals from the sector.

Speaking at the event, Abdul Khaliq Rauf Khalil, the GAIF's General Secretary, urged Arab oil and gas companies as well as local insurers to exhaust the regional reinsurance capacity before resorting to international reinsurers.
