The International Conference on Inclusive Insurance (ICII) took place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 19 to 23 October 2026.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, the National Bank of Rwanda, Access to Finance Rwanda (AFR), the Rwanda Insurers Association, and the Rwanda Insurance Brokers Organization (RIBO), in partnership with the Munich Re Foundation and the Microinsurance Network.
The conference brought together nearly 600 participants from 58 countries.
During the event, the Microinsurance Network presented the preliminary findings of its 2026 study, Landscape of Microinsurance 2026.
Based on data covering 1 181 products across 45 countries, the study indicates that inclusive insurance now provides coverage to 309 million people.
