Launch of the first insurance comparison portal in Kenya

A first insurance comparison portal has just been created in Kenya. Called "Pesabazaar" this new web portal allows users not only to compare prices and covers offered by ten insurers of the market, but also to underwrite insurance contracts online.

It is worth reminding that with 40 insurance companies, four reinsurance companies and 200 brokers, Kenya achieved a total turnover of 1.75 billion USD in 2014, ahead of all Sub- Saharan African markets excluding South Africa.
