Motor insurance, the premiums might soon depend of motorists' behaviour

With the upcoming implementation of the points system driving licence, motor insurance premiums might be determined case-by-case, on the basis of motorists' behavioural reports. According to Bassem Al-Odah, general manager of Arabian Shield Cooperative Insurance Company, a study is currently being made in this direction.

The new system, which shall soon be implemented, would also introduce heavier penalties. They might vary from a 3-month license withdrawal to a permanent withdrawal, according to the Ministry of Interior website.
