New insurance product designed for casual workers in Egypt

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE), Misr Bank, Cairo Bank and Agriculture Bank of Egypt are selling a new life insurance plan designed for casual, seasonal and temporary workers. The scheme, costing between 500 and 2 500 EGP (28.4 and 142 USD), will cover bodily injuries and decease.

In the event of a claim, the bank will pay the policyholder or his legal beneficiary either a lump-sum capital or an annuity. This plan has been designed for individuals aged between 18 and 59.
