Oman Re has recorded a turnover of 27.6 million OMR (71.5 million USD) as at 31 December 2021, representing an 11% increase over one year.
The net profit for 2021 has declined by 7% to 1.3 million OMR (3.4 million USD) compared to 1.4 million OMR (3.6 million USD) in 2020. The underwriting result has grown by 10.5% to reach 2.1 million OMR (5.4 million USD).
The combined ratio, which has been affected by the rising loss experience, has dropped by 1.5 points to 99.4% at the end of 2021.
The net investment income went from 1.9 million OMR (4.9 million USD) in 2020 to 2.1 million OMR (5.4 million USD) a year later.
As at 31 December 2021, the company's shareholders' equity stood at 29.3 million OMR (75.9 million USD).
