Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) posted a net profit of 360 million QAR (95.9 million USD) for the first half of 2024, up by 11% over one year.
Insurance revenue was down by 17% from 5.2 billion QAR (1.1 billion USD) at 30 June 2023, to 4.3 billion QAR (1.1 billion USD). Gross written premiums amounted to 4.8 billion QAR (1.3 billion USD), representing a 13% decline over twelve months.
Investments and other income fell by 7% to 465.5 million QAR (124 million USD).
The company's assets and shareholders' equity stood at 29.8 billion QAR (7.9 billion USD) and 8.2 billion QAR (2.2 billion USD) respectively at the end of June 2024.
