Qatari authorities shall amend the insurance Code

Qatari authorities will publish new prudential rules applicable to insurance companies. The amendment of the Insurance Code is designed to align the local market practices on the recent developments of good governance observed in international markets.

These changes will apply as from 1 January 2015. They mainly concern the amount of capital, risk management, and investments made by insurers.
