To protect against ransom demands, many companies do not hesitate to acquire a cyber-risk insurance. This type of guarantee, referred to as "ransomware", represents today a quarter of ransomware demands.

The sums requested to recover the hacked data are of 300 USD. However, hackers are starting to target more larger companies. The ransom can then reach 50 000 USD.

After the WannaCry * attack, cyber-insurance applications have increased by 30%.
