Reinsurance capacity: partnership between Neema and Southern Pacific Insurance Corporation

Neema Insurance Managing Agency has signed a reinsurance partnership with Southern Pacific Insurance Corporation (SOPAC), an insurance company based in American Samoa.

Through this agreement, effective starting 1 March 2022, SOPAC will allow Neema to underwrite business in Africa and Asia.

The African agency is now authorized to underwrite the following risk categories:

• property damage and engineering
• marine hull and cargo (including P&I)
• aviation
• third party liability
• surety
• political violence and terrorism
• political risks
• miscellaneous risks

This initiative is part of Neema's 2022 objectives which aim to enter into binding agreements with reinsurers.
