Standard health insurance contracts in Saudi Arabia

The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) has launched a unified contract system that came into effect on 1 February 2021.

Health insurance companies and healthcare service providers have 12 months to be fully compliant with the standard contract.

Through this initiative, the Council aims to regulate the contractual relationship between insurers and health care providers and protect the insured.

In addition, the standard contract contributes to completing transactions faster and reducing disputes.
