Standard & Poor's downgrades Aviva France's rating

Standard & Poor's (S&P) has revised downwards Aviva France's rating from "AA-" to "A+" with a negative outlook. This downgrade was made following the decision to sell the group's French subsidiary.

The rating agency has confirmed the "AA-" rating for the group's operating entities in the United Kingdom, Canada and Ireland and "A" for the holding company Aviva PLC.
