STAR Assurances unveils its 2017 results

The Société Tunisienne d’Assurance et de Réassurance (STAR) achieved, at the end of December 2017, a turnover of 339.12 million TND (138.5 million USD), an increase of 2.4% compared to 331.16 million TND (144.5 million USD) recorded in 2016.

With 326.7 million TND (133.4 million USD) of premiums, the non-life class of business accounts for 96% of the underwritings. Life insurance represents only 4% of the portfolio.

The number of reported claims increased by 22.4% from 753 216 in 2016 to 922 276 twelve months later.
