STAR publishes its 2016 half-year results

The half-yearly results of the Société Tunisienne d’Assurances et de Réassurances (STAR) reported a net profit of 7.85 million TND (3.6 million USD) as at 30 June 2016, down by 83% in comparison with the same period in 2015.

Despite this decline in result, the premium volume amounted to 180 million TND (82.3 million USD) which is in Tunisian dinars, 3.4% more than in 2015. As for the paid losses, they decreased by 13% to reach 104 million TND (47.5 million USD).

During the first six months of the year 2016, the company's shareholder's equity amounted to 319 million TND (145.8 million USD) against 307 million TND (157.8 million USD) at the end of June 2015.
