The State comes to the rescue of the affected farmers

The State is committed to indemnifying the farmers victim of the climate events sustained in the course of the months of March and May 2016. To this end, the amount of 16.4 million TND (7.5 million USD) will be disbursed to them.

Pending the establishment of a specific insurance pool, the State shall continue to support farmers in the event of natural catastrophes.
