Tunis Re unveils its 2017 results

Tunis Re has published its provisional results ending December 31, 2017. The Tunisian reinsurer posted a 2.5% growth in its turnover.

The latter increased from 113.4 million TND (49.5 million USD) in 2016 to 116.3 million TND (47.5 million USD) twelve months later.

The retakaful activity recorded a sharper ncrease of 19% at 10.79 million TND (4.4 million USD). This figure was 9.03 million TND (3.7 million USD) one year ago.

The high loss experience increased the compensations by 30%. The financial products, however, remained stable.
