Video surveillance and insurance in Saudi Arabia

The installation of a video surveillance camera in the stores is compulsory in order to underwrite an insurance policy. Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) does no longer authorize local insurers to insure businesses that do not comply with this requirement.

“Failure to comply with the new obligation shall be penalized”, according to the new decree.
