Yelen Assurance, a new microinsurance company

A microinsurance company has been established in Burkina Faso. Named Yelen Assurance, the company obtained on July 16, 2018, the approval of the regional insurance control commission (CRCA) to operate on the local market.

It is the first insurer specialising in microinsurance created since the enactment, in April 2012, of the law governing this activity.

Former executive at Arch Re, Joel Bamogo, actuary, is the CEO of Yelen Assurance.
