Zurich is gradually withdrawing from certain non life insurance activities

Due to the low market potential, Zurich Insurance Group is withdrawing from certain non life insurance activities in the Middle East. Starting from December 1st, 2015, the Swiss group will stop underwriting damage insurance policies in the mentioned region. The expired policies of particulars, small and large corporates will no longer be renewed.

The withdrawal plan will be finalized at the end of 2016. It concerns the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Lebanon. Reinsurance services have not been affected by this decision.
