Munich Re: Owais Ansari, new CEO Life & Health for the MENA region

Owais Ansari has been appointed Munich Re's Life & Health (L&H) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). He will be replacing Frank Mayer, who is retiring.

Pending the approval of the relevant authorities, the appointment will be effective as of 1 September 2023.

O. Ansari will be based in Dubai and will report to Daniel Cossette, Munich Re's L&H CEO for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

The new executive has 23 years of professional experience, during which time he assumed several senior positions with a number of insurance and financial services companies, including HSBC Takaful, the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Pak-Qatar Family Takaful and FWU.
