Mapfre, 9th European insurer in 2022
A study by MAPFRE Economic Research indicates that Europe's top 15 insurers have recorded a 7.7% increase in their overall turnover, reaching 618.712 billion EUR (660.5 billion USD) in 2022.
With premiums amounting to 24.54 billion EUR (26.2 billion USD) in 2022, Mapfre is now ranked ninth among the top 15 European insurers. This places the Spanish insurer ahead of the British group Aviva, which now occupies the 10th position.
AXA (France), Allianz (Germany) and Generali (Italy) remain in the top three, respectively.
