Allianz Global Investors joins the metaverse

Allianz Global Investors (Allianz GI), the German group's asset management subsidiary, is venturing into the metaverse through the establishment of an investment fund called "Allianz Metaverse". This fund allows investors to invest in equities of international companies involved in the value chain of virtual world creation.

This initiative aims at taking advantage of the societal changes resulting from the integration of the physical and digital worlds in a common space (metaverse).

Allianz Metaverse will be operating in San Francisco, California.

In April 2022, the French group AXA launched, via Axa Investment Managers, a thematic equity fund dedicated to European investors called "AXA WF Metaverse".
