Top 30 European non-life insurers

AM-BestAM Best has released its ranking of the top 30 European non-life insurers.

Based on premiums written in 2022, Allianz (Germany), AXA (France) and Lloyd's of London (UK) take the lead, in first, second and third place respectively.

These three insurers have ended the financial year 2022 with respective turnovers of 67.716 billion EUR (72.3 billion USD), 55.58 billion EUR (59.3 billion USD) and 52.763 billion EUR (56.3 billion USD).

The ranking is dominated by France and Germany, with six companies each in the top 30. The two countries are followed by the UK with 4 companies, Switzerland and Spain with 3 companies each.
