CCR Group: 2022 results

groupe Caisse Centrale de Réassurance (CCR)On 29 March 2022, CCR's Board of Directors approved the financial statements of the subsidiaries CCR-Réassurances Publiques and CCR Re for the year 2022.

As at 31 December 2022, CCR-Réassurances Publiques posted a turnover of 1.08 billion EUR (1.2 billion USD), which represents a 2.5% increase compared to the same period in 2021. The 67 million EUR (71.5 million USD) net profit has dropped by 50% over a year. The net combined ratio has declined by 15.1 points to stand at 101.6%.

The past year was marked by a heavy natural disaster loss experience which cost the French reinsurer 1.8 billion EUR (1.9 billion USD) against 323 million EUR in 2021.

The premium collections of CCR Re, the commercial reinsurance entity, have progressed by 17% to reach 987 million EUR (1.05 billion USD) by the end of 2022. The net profit amounted to 42 million EUR (44.8 million USD), improving by 2.4% over twelve months.

CCR Re's Board of Directors is proposing the distribution of a dividend amounting to 16.8 million EUR (17.9 million USD).
