Jul 2016 The rating agency AM Best confirmed the B+ rating for financial strength and BBB- for credit of the Société Tunisienne de Réassurance (Tunis Re). The outlook for both ratings remains stable. The agency underlines the strong capitalization of the Tunisian reinsurer, its strong market position and its strong performance over the past six years.
Tunis Re posted good results in 2015. The company showed a pre-tax profit of 17.6 million TND (8.7 million USD), up by 34.4% from 2014. The company's premiums increased by 3 % going from 97.6 million TND (52.5 million USD) in 2014 to 100.6 million TND (49.8 million USD) twelve months later.
