Job: Senior risk officer

Job Description:

Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive enterprise risk management “ERM” framework and all related risk policies.

• Assist in the preparation of risk reports which to be submitted to the Management, BRC and BOD.
• Review and update the Key Risk Indicators “KRIs” dashboard.
• Prepare and update the risk register, on regular basis, to identify, assess and evaluate potential risks facing the company, such as financial, operational, technical and reputational risks.
• Develop and recommend risk mitigation action plans. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the mitigation plans to the line manager.
• Assist in developing BCM and ORM systems, such as RCSA and Authority Matrix, to enhance risk reporting and controlling.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations and risk management standards.
• Provide analytical support and studies of financial impacts of existing and potential risks.
• Provide risk awareness sessions to enhance risk management culture throughout the company.
• Conduct risk assessments for new products, processes, and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and rating agencies.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices in risk management.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in insurance, finance, business or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in risk management role (in life insurance industry is preferable)
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Effective Communication & Negotiation Skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and risk management software.
• Strong understanding of insurance regulations and risk management standards (e.g. Solvency II).
• Experience with risk modeling and scenario planning is a plus.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving interpersonal, organizational, and cross-cultural skills.
