Trevor Oates, new Head of Reinsurance at Africa Specialty Risks

Trevor Oates has joined Africa Specialty Risks (ASR) as Head of Reinsurance. He will be reporting to Mikir Shah, ASR's Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

T. Oates' professional career began in 1987 with Mercantile and General Reinsurance Company. He then joined Aon in 1992, where he worked for seven years as an Associate Director.

Prior to his recent appointment, T. Oates spent 25 years with the international insurance group Canopius, where he served in a number of senior roles, most recently as Treaty Underwriter.
