A group of companies to insure Khalifa Sat

Khalifa Sat satellite will be provided insurance coverage by a group of Emirati and foreign companies. The guarantee mainly concerns the technical automatisms. Should the launch fail, the underwriter will be compensated by the group of insurers.

Khalifa Sat is the first terrestrial image capture satellite to be built by Emirati engineers. It will be launched on October 29, 2018 from the Tanegashima Space Center in Japan.
