Accident insurance schemes not popular among natural persons

A recent survey has found that 4% of people are in possession of an insurance plan against daily life accidents, an extremely poor penetration rate in comparison with the other classes of business. However, one household out of ten has enough saving capacity to face the occurrence of such an event.

Investing in an insurance plan would therefore, be useful for Moroccan people. Only those undergoing internship or training programs are required to underwrite a “personal accident” insurance scheme. Among the other categories of people, drivers of private transport vehicles and farmers underwrite such a plan in a regular fashion. Work accidents are covered by insurance policies designed for professional staff members that are fully aware of their importance.
