EgyptAir Airbus A320 crash, survey results

EgyptairThree years after the crash of EgyptAir's Airbus A 320, an expert report reveals that the aircraft was not in a State of flight. The aircraft that provided MS 804 flight from Paris to Cairo recorded the night before the crash almost twenty alerts.

Major defects and an electrical problem that could cause a fire have been reported repeatedly by the system. They were however ignored by successive pilots and crews.

The investigation also reveals the presence of a problem on a valve of an engine and smoke in the toilets.

Commissioned by the inquiry judges in charge of the investigation in France, the report stresses that since the first of may 2016 more than fifty alerts have been reported on several dozen flights, without any intervention of the airline.

The technical skills of the staff in charge of the maintenance of the EgyptAir aircraft at Roissy airport are also questioned by the experts.

The Airbus A 320, which was damaged on the night of 19 may 2016 off Alexandria, caused the death of 66 passengers, including 10 crew members.
