Laws against the development of insurance in the country shall be reviewed by 2011

The federal government is keen on reviewing the legislation which strains the development of insurance in the country. This measure is supposed to improve the sector's competitiveness and ensure that it represents a more significant share of GDP. Among the laws due to undergo review: the Insurance act 2003; the National Health Insurance Act, 1999; Pension Reform Act 2004 ; Companies Income Tax, 2007 and Employee Compensation Bill This measure designed to redefine legislation must be enacted before the end of 2011.
