Metaverse: AXA IM launches a thematic equity fund

In February 2022, Axa France acquired a stake in the platform "The Sandbox". This action allowed it to take its first steps into the world of metavers.

The insurer seems conquered by the virtual world and pushes the experience further. In April of the same year, the Axa Investment Managers subsidiary created AXA WF Metaverse, a thematic equity fund dedicated to European investors. This fund will invest in key companies that play a role in the convergence of the physical and digital worlds.

Estimated at 209 billion USD in 2021, the Metaverse market is expected to reach 716 billion USD by 2027. This virtual world holds significant financial potential and already includes many global brands.
