2015 ranking of the Togolese insurers
In the 2015 ranking of non-life Togolese insurance companies, NSIA Togo topped the list with a turnover of 7.22 billion FCFA (12.02 million USD), followed by Saham Assurance Togo with 7.17 billion FCFA (11.94 million USD) and Sunu Assurances IARD with 4.39 billion FCFA (7.31 million USD). After these three companies, we find the GTA-C2A, Allianz Togo Assurances, Fidelia Assurances and Ogar SA.
According to the 2015 figures , the Groupement Togolais d'Assurances Vie ranks first in life insurance with a turnover of 8.96 billion FCFA (14.92 million USD), that is a 45% market share. Then comes SUNU Assurances Vie Togo and NSIA Vie Togo with premiums of 3.67 billion FCFA (6.11 million USD) and 3.29 billion FCFA (5.48 million USD) respectively.
It should be noted that the Togolese insurance market recorded as at 31.12.2015 an overall turnover of 48.4 billion FCFA (80.63 million USD) 28.49 billion FCFA (47.46 million USD) of which for non life insurance and 19.91 billion FCFA (33.17 million USD) for life insurance.
