Accident in a carousel: is the victim insured?

April 14, 2017

It is rare for an accident to occur in an amusement park. However, zero risk does not exist.

In the majority of countries, the exercise of an outdoor leisure activity, such as rides, is subject to an insurance obligation. To be able to carry out his activity the owner (the manager) of a carousel must take out a professional third party liability insurance policy. The latter broadly covers material, bodily and consequential damage caused to third parties.

Unfortunately, regulations are not always enforced. Organizers often do not respect safety standards nor underwrite insurance policies. In amusement parks, you expose yourself to a great danger without being insured. An advice then! Avoid visiting these places and taking your children there.
