The bulk of investments are achieved in the country

By June 30, 2016, approximately 94% of the insurance companies' financial investments were made in the sultanate while less than 6% of the investments were carried out abroad. The overall corporate investment made by insurance companies amounted to nearly 344 million OMR (896 million USD) by the end of the first half of 2016.
