Fairfax Financial Holding will invest in Africa

An application for capital opening has been lodged at the department regulating the financial markets. The funds harvested are estimated at 1 billion USD, part of which will be used to finance expansion over the African continent thanks to some majority shareholdings in companies of various business areas.

Fairfax Africa, a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holding, is already operational in Africa in the areas of industry, hospitality and infrastructure.
