A new insurance cover against floods designed for SMEs

British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has developed an insurance cover against floods for the benefit of SMEs located in exposed areas. BIBA entered into association with the experts in flood risks such as Landmark or broker Guy Carpenter in order to develop this program.

The product, which obtained the support of Lloyd’s, has been designed for companies that are not eligible for the coverage provided by Flood Re. Flood Re is managing a flood insurance program targeting dwellings only. This program was launched in 2016.
