The arbitral tribunal, acting under the auspices of the Paris Mediation and Arbitration Centre (CMAP), ruled on 25 June 2026 in the dispute between SCOR and Covéa concerning two retrocession treaties.
The tribunal confirmed the validity of both treaties, which will continue to be performed in accordance with their terms. It further held that it was equitable to grant Covéa compensation of 488.3 million USD.
This amount corresponds to sums owed by Covéa to SCOR under the retrocession agreements, and therefore results in a waiver of SCOR’s receivables. After taking provisions into account, the arbitration decision has no impact on SCOR Group’s liquidity.
