Life and health insurance: the majority of Indians are wary of digital payment methods
According to a study conducted by the insurance aggregator PolicyX.com, only 29.1% of Indian citizens underwrite life and health insurance through a website or mobile application.
The majority of policyholders (65.5%) prefer traditional payment methods with the presence of a live agent. The remaining 5.4% are indifferent.
In addition to payment, those surveyed also prefer human intervention over artificial intelligence in the claims notification and settlement processes.
